In order to enjoy any kind of success however, you need to ensure that you’re getting the right traffic to your website so here are a few simple ways you can do exactly this.

Keywords

In order to improve your rankings in the likes of Google, the first and most important thing you need to do is ensure that you are using the right keywords on your site. Think about what people might type into a search engine when looking for your product or service.

Write out a list of everything you can think of and also don’t forget to make them location specific. You can then use the Google Adwords Keyword Planner to help determine how many searches each keyword gets per month and what the competition is for it. 

Advertise

Advertising is one of the best ways to promote anything and your website is no exception. The great news is that there are a number of ways you can advertise your website so you can find the platform that suits your audience. Paid search, social media and display advertising are all great ways of attracting visitors and getting your site in front of people. As we mentioned above, really think about your target audience and where they’re likely to be.

If for example you are trying to promote your personal training business, LinkedIn would not be a suitable place to promote this whereas you’re likely to yield much better results if you display your ads on Facebook.

As they have used your company before, you know that they are already interested in your products or services so this is a great start. For example, discounts, special offers, a link to an industry report or some advice that can help them to become more successful. You may already have the facilities you need to send out bulk emails but if not, there are a number of sites out there you can use for this including MailChimp.
