Christmas gifts with a little ‘je ne sais quoi’!

With only 20 days until the big day, many of us, unless you’re one of those annoying people who already have Christmas wrapped up, literally, will be trawling the internet and streets looking for that special something, for that special someone.

Many of us will have planned and budgeted for all the people we intend to buy presents for, but what if you had a no limit budget? What would you buy for your loved one?

Here we explore some of the most traditional presents but with a little twist!

Perfume is a lovely gift to give. It shows the recipient that you’ve put a lot of time and effort into thinking about what they may or may not like plus, as a scent that can be worn daily, they will think of you every day. It’s also a gift that fits most budgets as there is such a wide range of choice. However, did you know that DKNY created the most expensive bottle of perfume ever to be sold? The bottle featured 2,909 precious stones including sapphires, diamonds and a ruby. The stones were hand-placed in a design to replicate the New York city skyline and took over 1,500 hours to complete. Ready to buy? You’ll need a cool $1m to purchase this little beauty. Car

Top of the Christmas list for many little boys is a toy car of some description, maybe their favourite sports car or a small toy electric car they can drive around the garden. But what’s on the Christmas list for grown men who still love cars? There’s certainly plenty of luxury cars to choose from but the recent addition to the Aston Martin house must surely be considered. The Aston Martin DBX is Aston Martin’s first ever SUV and it doesn’t disappoint. Fully customisable it has sports packages, pet packages, travelling packages and that’s just to name a few of the stunning add-ons. Prices start at £158,000 so you’ll need a deep purse to get this one on the road for your other half.

There’s no better way to celebrate Christmas than by popping a cork or two. From Veuve Clicquot to Moet, from Mumm to Dom Perignon, I’m sure we all have a favourite that we wouldn’t be disappointed to see in our Christmas stockings. But for a unique bottle of bubbles, Veuve Clicquot have bottles which are over 170 years old. In the top 10 most expensive bottles of champagne they’re worth $34,000 a bottle. Thought lost at sea as part of a shipwreck, it was quite a gift when a few of these popped up undamaged. You can find out more about the champagne and how it was analysed by following this link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-32388123

Flowers

There’s nothing quite like receiving a beautiful bunch of flowers. The phrase ‘say it with flowers’ certainly is true and once again buying flowers can suit any budget starting from as little as a few pounds. But what if you wanted to splash out? Orchids are lovely and if you know how to keep them they will keep blooming year after year. They come in many different shapes and colours but for an extra special treat why not buy a Shenzhen Nongke Orchid? For just £160,000 your loved one could be the proud owner of this man-made orchid which took 8 years of research to create and blooms every 4-5 years.
